After walking 1.5 miles to the pub with my daughters, having 4 pints of ale while sat in front of an open fire and laughing at old pictures from 2003 (to prove to #2 child that she had once ridden a horse!) .... I started to feel properly merry for the first time.

The walk home was much easier  and the meal that mrsMcQ and her mom had prepared was one of the tastiest in many years .... Like Tony, I was so full I didn't need pudding ... But I eat it anyway :p

But the conclusion here is that beer is the answer to making Christmas merry

I woke up at 3.00 in the afternoon and had a Terries Chocolate Orange and box of Ferro Roche while in front of the TV watching the old Black & White Dunkirk movie all on my tod. Didn't even have a pint but I did have 4 pints of Old Rosie cider at 12.00 the night before. That's one of the advantages of working in a Pub  I was back at work at 10.00 today.
