Snapped plastic doodahs on carb

Post by bigbadjonno »

Hi,
I've snapped the damned plastic gubbins for the choke valve on the front carb. I've discovered that gl_s_r has sold a few in the past, but I can't message him as I'm not a big enough poster.
Any chance somebody could let him know or otherwise point me in the right direction to get hold of some please?

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

They are little buggers. Broke mine too.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

They're plastic.
No need for a breaker bar.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Not through over-tightening unfortunately - I accidentally leaned on the front carb before I had seated it fully in the rubber, it just wonked over a bit and caught the elbow on the head somewhere. Rather a fragile little thing and Mr Honda wants £50+ for the valve assembly.
Judging by the demand for replacement parts, I'm not alone!
Cheers Wicky for the help.

Thanks Mik, I've ordered the ones that Wicky recommended - heartbreaking paying 26 quid for a pair though!

cause you're paying for all that r&d.... :) BTW, you likely saved a gram or two of weight with those (compared to brass).... not to be discounted (sayeth he of carbon obsession), lol
