I expect you're rather sore today, I hope you feel better soon,

I remember from some books about riding technique that if you lock rear break during emergency braking you should keep it locked. Releasing it can release energy stored in rear suspension and eject you from the bike. This situation could be similar. Good luck with repairs, glad you are o.k. :D

No, it's basically a high side. Rear wheel slightly sideways and skidding. Then, with the clutch in, starts moving again. Grips and spits. Ouch.... Virtually impossible to control

I'm sure I see your bike quite a bit around the m25, an orange, a red and a yellow one almost everytime I'm on there in the van on the drive home on the anti clockwise stretch.

Quite possibly, between J2 and the tunnels, I have an orange lid too so hard to miss :)

You still bounce well enough then!
The question is, what locked the rear at motorway speeds?

Engine seized?
Rear disc or chain failed?
Something had gone wrong......
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Engine seized, It spins on the starter but was slowing to a crawl and speeding up again, I'll be stripping the engine when I'm off work over xmas, so I'll post updates as I know more.
