I need to go back and watch the mountain section in full. He looked in pain through all of that and the wind was causing problems.

It's been done before me thinks. A bloke on a DT 175, will have to look up the name. Still quite an achievement and a bigger achievement for the bike as he normally needs more than one to finish a Trial.

From what they said on the programme I got the impression the other guy had never managed to complete it.

Wasn't that Dave Taylor? Can't remember whether he completed it, but I think he was diagnosed with cancer around the time he was doing it.

I though that as well, that Dave Taylor did that, and iirc on a Yamaha XT500,

I also think it was Dave Taylor that did the lap of the tt course
DT also did a lap of the North west 200
the bike was modified like Dougies
With the foot pegs on the rear axel and a motor to spin the front wheel
told you not to but oh no you knew better

Good man, now you mentioned that I do remember seeing the XT500 there in a TV programme about the IOM. I can't remember which programme it was, it may have been one of Henry Cole's,
