sump needed

Post by chaz »

having trouble removing the seized in sump plug. head has rounded off, tried a chisel but wont move.
before I get more heat or force on it I would rather have a spare sump incase the worse happens and the bike is off the road for a week bearing in mind the proximity to the outside of the casting.. 2002 normal storm. thanks

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hi Tony
thanks for the offer, been struggling with lost screws on a cbr600!! found them where I left them  not where I thought I put them.
wasted day.
putting the storm on hold for the time being as its an insurance claim and failed the mot/check over.
will keep you in mind if we get other bits sorted. thanks

is it poss to hacksaw a slot into the knackered sump plug. ?

I bought a new sump plug the other day and I've lost it somewhere in the house/ garage, or the missus has "tidied" it away somewhere.

only a fiver but its proper irritated me :confused ...
