Fitted a standard seat (thank you malcobobket) and also fitted a standard tail fairing and rear light .
Now I have a car again I'll get piggy ready for Devon .
Then after that I'll get it back in race trim

After I'd peeled the old duct tape away I found this...

Image

The wires had been extended & the join's as you can see are just crimped...

Just moving it about to take a pic...

Image

The white plastic plug was a bit crispy as well & the green wire fell/pulled out of it's spade terminal very easily...

So I trimmed all the wires fitted new beefy connectors, plugged it in to a spare Mossfet, bolted it all up, stuck a different battery on...Fired up first prod of the starter...

Boxed it all up, gave it a wash, adjusted & lubed the chain.

Was taklking to my neighbour, fired it up & the sidestand light started blinking then when out...

I think it's just the bulb as I had put in some cheap LED's in the dash so I'll check if the sidestand cut out works in the morning & do the bulb next time I have the fairing off...

Will it make it to work in the morning ? Watch this space...or rather ''whats annoyed you today...''

Mechanic friend: "is your bike prepped ready to go to Germany next week?"

Me: "just finished carbon wrapping the mirrors"

Mechanic friend: "tw@"

Today (and a bit of yesterday evening) I made a rack for the SP2. Now I can put the tent and camping gear ready for Yorkshire.
It looks mostly like a TV aerial, tbh, but it'll do.
Just the undertray, indicators and some wiring to do and I'll be ready to go....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Not today, but last night.

Did my first bit of decorative work on the BMW..

Broke the radial head (?) in my right elbow, currently sat at home feeling sorry for myself with a sling :(

Only the rear right indicator actually broke though! Bike is a wombles tank

But you aren't mate. How did that happen? Hope you mend quickly fella.
Lucky it wasn't one of those old blokes from Grainstorm innit, that would have broken a hip or sumfink. Us yoofs have to stick together innit.

currently doing work on the KH125 to fit new 6V LED indicators and tail light, but keep it looking retro, might post photos when I get the bike out in the daylight.

also bought a hydraulic bike ramp and have a 250 ducati Desmo café racer [belongs to a mate] sat on there getting a full rebuild.
