Fitted a new regulator/rectifier. Great big bugger it is too. Bigger then the usual R1 fh mosfet ones.

Old one (standard finned replacement) was between 13.2v and 13.8v depending on rpm and load. New one is steady at 14.45v with a flutter of .1v up or down depending on whether lights are on or off.

Fitted an SH775, not a mosfet but apparently very reliable.
I ordered the plug kit so I could fit a mosfet regulator at a later stage if I feel the need.
I drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it.
