Had a quick Google and I reckon you've hit bullseye there my good man. Franco bonera. His style and lid plus the date match my drawing to a tee. Spot on. Well impressed. I owe you a pint.

You are describing the drawing hanging on my wall.

I was only 14 when I did it. I used to sketch a lot in those days. I was pretty good at it. This particular drawing i had forgotten about as it languished in a box since about 1984 with loads of others I'd done. Came across it about 2 years ago and er indoors had it framed. I remember I copied it from a very much smaller image (drawing or photo, can't remember) in mcn at the time.

Yes your right, I can now see that the guy was a very stylish rider and possibly a bit ahead of his time. You've answered a puzzle for me and I'm grateful for that. Cheers.

Thanks. I read that a week or two ago. I thought I'd followed it but the link thingymabob was "dead" text when I dropped it into my post on here. It was there but in black and not blue and nothing happened if you clicked on it. So I deleted the post. Ill have another go. I wonder if I've password protected it or something.
