Catastrophic rectifier failure!
Catastrophic rectifier failure!
My standard storm rectifier has fried my stator! I have found 'larsson' stator's on ebay for 1/4 of the price of a Honda 1.
has anyone heard of these?
And are they anygood?
Or would I b better off with a second hand honda stator?
Opinions and advice please

Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
I have a known good std stator for sale with the alternator cover casting for £35 posted.
Also an R1 reg/rec for £20 posted, you'll need to solder and crimp blade terminals onto your loom, though.
Just in case Mac doesn't get back to you.
PM'd with my contact details.

I might actually get bak to you on the R1 r/r I definitely don't want to put a standard 1 back on. This bikes had 2 fail now according to the service history.
last time it just fried the battery this time it's fried the stator just don't trust them. Really want an upgraded 1.
Does ur R1 rectifier model code start fh####?
And Wat condition is the stator in? Is it out a crashed bike or anything?
Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
No idea, it's still bolted to the rear subframe under the tail plastics in a dark, unlit and unheated garage.
The stator? I have two to choose from, one has been on my bike for ages, no problems at all, the other is from another engine I broke ages ago, but of course I'll meter them before sending one out.

Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
Mac has no stators, so sell away Tony.
If you have two wasn't Jamie after one as well ?
t13ony, the R1 reg will be a SH part number as it will be the shunt type not a Mosfet which will be the FH part no. ... Still better than the std one tho.

Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
Cheers for all ur help guys but iv'e bought 1 of Tony.mon stator's now so hopefully it shouldn't b 2 long until I'm back on the road. Appreciate all ur advice.
Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
The second one is still in an alternator case which I'll be selling as a pair with the clutch case.MacV2 wrote:Mac has no stators, so sell away Tony.

Both kitted out with Carbonadi kevlar and carbon fibre covers, hence selling them as a matched pair.

Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
My last standard reg/rec melted in two
Re: Catastrophic rectifier failure!
All FH##### reg recs denote they are the switch mosfet type. If it has SH#### then its the shunt type and should be avoided
