kawasaki

Post by 10robbo »

hello all,
looking for a bit of advice ive been offered a z1000 for £500 its a 1987 on e plate, bit tatty obviously but appears complete and runs.
it must be one of the few that's escaped being broken on ebay
would it be worth giving it the many hours it will need to put it right or just a labour of love

I wouldn't as it's an old bus .
Only if it was something I really wanted would I bother with it

You mean a GPZ1000RX ?

Not really worth bothering with unless you love them or want to transplant the engine into a nice GPZ900R.

The problem is parts are expensive, so it'll end up most likely costing you a lot more than it will be worth when finished, and that will be without taking into account the many hours of time involved. As others have said, unless you have an attachment of some kind with this model, then not really worth doing,

Now If you'd said 1977 Z1000 for £500 it would be a different story :cool2
