Well, you've made it! - The ripe old age of 44.

That can only mean one thing....

Don't panic when you visit bike shops and start thinking about Honda Goldwings, BMW's, Harleys and 'bikes with better riding positions that are easier on the wrists, legs, neck, elbow and bones. Squishy seats, heated grips, panniers, 200miles per tank. It's an inbuilt thing that is triggered by reaching a certain age. 44 is the start of it.

Like old women who used to dress all hip and trendy in their younger days, now reach a certain age, and (what seems to be overnight), you then see them wearing beige coats, head-squares and pulling a tartan shopping trolley).

They had to wake up one morning and decide "nah...I'll leave the Dr Martin boots in the cupboard and the tight jeans alone. Today I'm gonna wear the Hush Puppies and comfy fit trousers".

Well, some of us do a similar thing during our biking career. (Well, I do anyway). But then, I'm living in the body that should belong to a 126 year old.
