posting pics

Post by alanfjones1411 »

Like roger64 I too have been a member for about 3 months, and have done cct mods,regulator/rectifier mods and many minor mods, all with the help of this excellent forum and fellow vtr owners, and had many sympathetic posts regarding my recent off (see got off light, many thanks for them)but try as I might I cannot grasp this posting photo's thing. I thought it may be easier now with windows 10, but no. Is it just me being thick? :?

I reverted back to windows 7 before I could do my post windows 10 was a nightmare If it was up to me we would still be traveling with horse and cart you don't need engines when the world is flat
The welcome in gives a good explanation on how to post pictures with photobucket and if I can do it anyone can. :D

Try http://tinypic.com - just a case of simply locating the image file on your computer, uploading it and copy&pasting the resulting URL between the img tags.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

if you want an image (not your own) off the net try going on Bing images and open the picture up , do a right click on it and press "copy" .

then when you want to post the picture click on Img above and paste what you have copied between img and img

then you can add random pictures to your post

or get a photobucket account (the free one)
Step 1. Put photos onto computer

2. Open photo bucket. Go to library.Click where it says import photo

3 You can then browse your pc for photos

4 import photos.

5 resize photo to about 400 x 300. then save (and replace original if you want)

6 To the right of the photo, left click in the box that says url

7 Go into VTR forum, log in, start your post and click on img, then right click and paste, job done

8 Then repeat this process for more pictures

There are easier and better ways, which you will find
This is my way, have a go !!

Not sure if this helps, done as straight forward as I can, good luck

quite correct kev.

mind you I think photobucket has become less user friendly over the years, I hate those bloody popups that slow you down..
