"Spotty Bag Shop" Car Park in Banff - Red: "R reg"

Post by TheGingerBeardMan »

...
Out for a drive round Turriff, and spotted this Firestorm in the car park of the Spotty Bag Shop in Banff - Today (Saturday 8th August), and was around 2.50pm

On an "R Reg" plate (registered 4th Sept 1997)

OEM Honda cans (with baffles still intact!)....

OEM CCTs...

OEM Brake and clutch hoses...

Renntec Rack, V2 front graphics, black screen, Smoke tail light lens (looked like LED, but couldn't see), Powerbronze lower fairing/belly pan (nice, with the fins complimenting the upper fairing), black Powerbronze hugger, smoked headlight protector.

Mileage unknown.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Engine was still warm, so went into the shop for a look-see and play "Spot the Helmet" .

Found the owner (and his other half), and said hello. Asked if he was on this forum, he said no, so I gave the website address, highly recommending the site.

But, he said that he's planning selling it, as he misses the inline 4's. "The Storm doesn't have the same appeal as the CBR600" which he was used to. Shame.

Even his Significant Other said she didn't want him to sell it! And I said to him: "you're NOT allowed to sell it."

Finally, I asked if I could take a few photos for the forum so I can post them up on the "was it you?" section, and he said "no problem". (that's my bike sitting behind his)

"Nice to meet you (if you do find the forum and are reading this). Sorry, didn't get yer name, and forgot to ask the mileage. I'd have a field day cleaning that bike up if I had it, but no prices were mentioned, and I left cos you were looking a bit nervous at being approached by a Ginger bearded Neanderthal.

But I dang gone done written it in the title line Boss.......

Mind you, I suppose everyone is fed up seeing the butt end of a red firestorm by now, as that's all the riders of other colours ever get to see of them....

PS: Thanks for posting them up for me!
