after being a milkman many years ago, I can honestly say, never except food from an elderly person.....
they have the best intentions at heart, but the sell by date is normally 2yrs ago....

Funny you should mention sell by dates, I have just been clearing the fridge of an elderly friend who is in hospital.
Star of the show was a packet of cheese triangles, best before June 2009 almost everything else was from this decade...
