Howya Ben. Have had CCT go and it's not nice. Hope you shut her off before you bent a couple of valves

Hi all fitted new cct on Friday evening and she sounds like a bag of spanners still unfortunately, checked compression all seems fine time to strip down again for a closer inspection

Before you strip the bike too far, did you check that the cam sprockets and crank timing marks are aligned?

Checked all the timing marks and all lined up well, im based in surrey and my brother is a mechanic so he's helping me with the rebuild, but he's just had a baby so pinning him down is a hard job at the moment 8)

Happened to me TWICE. First time I ended up with 2 bent valves and cracked valve seats

Welcome aboard Ben

I'm sorry to hear about your CCT woes.

If the compression is good then you shouldn't have bent any valves.

Chris.
