Hi guys what size is the socket to take the plugs out the storm went to use my 16 long reach I used for my CBR race bike to small just so I can go buy one

18mm is what ya need

Right guys been to halfords B&Q local wee car shop no slim long reach 18mm and had a look on eBay but they are not saying if slim or standard

Hi M8tey ,,, thread is 12 mm , socket is 18 mm... I got this tool from
Ace tools for £4.85 ... ebay and its a next day service from them as quick
as you like .. 3/8 socket drive. you will need an extender for the front plug and they are
made for the job . rubber grommet inside to fix and hold when you extract splug
from the gloomy innards etc ..

Need help confused.com 12mm is to wee to go over the plug as was posted up need 18mm the eBay link is for a 12mm

It sometimes helps to put a piece of tubing onto the top of the plug to let you screw it in to get the thread started before using the socket.Also coppaslip the thread.

I know what you mean. The thing is to not relate plug sizes to your standard socket sizes as it don't work. Plugs are measured by the thread not the hex bit. So it's a 12mm thread with a 12mm plug spanner required. But the actual size of the hex bit the the socket fits over is 18mm :roll: Still confused :lol:

That's exactly what I use hence the above link to the other thread. Failing that there should be a plug spanner in the toolkit under the seat.

Guys still confused tryed a 12mm socket it does not fit the plug it is a 18mm on the spark plug so if you guys used a 12mm did Honda change the plug
