My Hermes don't use them

Post by bigtwinthing »

Well my parcel has been delivered, but it hasn't. Its in the couriers van even though they say it has been tracked and delivered. They will not give me the couriers number, i have to book a call to speak to a manager and may get it Mon/Tuesday. Ferking Shite service.

I will be kicking up shite about this. Don't use them

+1 on that.Been saying it for a while.

Wont use them as a service myself due to the shite service they have at the delivery end...3x I've complained about parcels just being left out in the open where anybody could nick them. ''It's not Hermes policy to do this the area manager will speak to the route driver...'' So whys it still bloody happening then...twats !

Yes they are cheap...but hey ya pays your money...

Each to their own mate, but I've sent numerous parcels with them and always use them. Can't fault them. To be fair someone will have bad and good experiences with all companies :?

as you can imagine I've used many couriers over the years, I stopped using parcel2go, I know they ain't a courier, they're a go between firm, but they messed me around to many times, mainly when yodel was the courier.
I then turned to myhermes directly, up until this week all has been well, 3 days ago they fined me £5 for a parcel being over weight, it was 5.5kg instead of under 5kg.....doh!!!
and now this parcel to paul.
I think it might be time I turn to ups, more money but better service.
it's a shame that it only takes the odd bad courier and the whole company looks bad, I know these couriers are paid badly but that's no excuse to do a bad job.

When Roger D sent my forks back via UPS it took the 3 attempts to find the delivery address! Because they couldn't be arsed to drive 100m further up the road to find the next house 8O

It's not only Hermes, UPS are a not brilliant either. Mikstr explains:-
http://www.superhawkforum.com/forums/ra ... ten-32969/

I hope you get yours sorted very soon Micky.

I've had two parcels sent to me at different times via Hermes, and both times no problems. It all depends on who you are lucky/unlucky to get for the final leg of the parcels journey IMHO. The guy they use for my area seems to be a half decent chap, so may be I'm lucky.

I've also had several parcels delivered from UPS with no problems either, but in my case (unlike Micky) someone was at home to take the parcel in.

I feel for you Paul, I hope you get your paid for item very soon. Do you know for definite your parcel is still in the delivery van :?: Are you sure it's not been left with a neighbour :?:

It's all very well using them to send stuff Watty...It's what happens at the other end.

The trouble with the likes of Hermes is that they use 3rd party couriers to deliver. The bloke who does my area uses an old Escort van...I've seen in & around the area where I work, bods doing it out of cars...Apparently they get paid just 40p per parcel delivered... 8O

This is why they are in a hurry to ''Drop'' each delivery & make no effort to leave it with a neighbour...takes time knocking on another door don't it.

I use i-post for most of my stuff, drop it off at the depot in the morning on the way to work, delivered next day.

it's not paul that's out of pocket, I could end up losing at least a bullseye maybe more..... :(
as it's been said before, it's the final drop off guy/girl, my nan's property is a bitch to find, but my local hermes guy is spot on, even asks my nan how she is.
it's the guy at the other end that need's a kick in the goolies.... :Ball Kick:
oh and I've just been told of another parcel that was sent on Monday, and was only going from London to st albans, still hasn't arrived, guess who the courier is???????????

No end of probs using these guys at work...we will not currently use them until they get their sh*t together.
They are currently building a new hub system....but unfortunately the muppets who are supposed to keep everything ticking over in the meantime, appear to have fekked off to the dark side of the moon.
When a courier's failings start denting your service reputation...and you ship 4-500 orders a day with them, they either sort it quick or they get parked up.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut....... for each guy I speak to who says these guys are crap, there's another one waiting to tell you that the other company is bad. Very much seems to depend on local teams/couriers.

I have used MyHermes for a while now for ebay transactions and found them to be ok.

One seller said they had not received there parcel, but MyHermes refunded me straight away.

Its like most jobs really, some people are conscientious and others are lazy shites its not always the company, but the odd few bad individuals they employ.

Well I've collected the parcel from the Guys place. He firstly said it was tracked and delivered and signed for. It wasn't he didn't deliver it but marked it as delivered by mistake. There fore Hermes are not accountable apparently. However my Wife said to them today, sort it or i shall report it as theft as you have said the item was delivered and signed for. This got them to get there butt in gear and tell me where it was. Then i collected it.

Thats a shite service Guys and no mistake. AP i have the bits so alls well. I will send it back with the Post Office ok. Cheers Marty your a star.

Mac too i may add.
