Where to get manual cct from

Post by artee »

Hi.
Can any one tell me the best place to get mccts from?
Are they the same as cbr600 ones? As I have an unused one from a previous bike.

Thanks

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Thanks for the info.
However.. as I haven't made 50 posts yet, I cannot contact those members that can supply these to me.
Which are the members that sell via ebay etc..

if you can post a photo of the CBR one we can advise if it is the same. it is very likely that they will be interchangeable, so you might only need 1.

I can PM Bazza to get in touch with you

Krieger from the US is a member here but you can contact Rob in Holland who stocks manual CCTs via his website.

I couldn't resist that comment but as everyone else gets their say in the cct wars, it's only fair Ade has his say. It's just the way he goes about it that makes me laugh. not that anyone has to promote any of them. I'm sure members can work out which to go for themselves from the link provided.

Their all pretty much the same at the end of the day minus the cosmetics so it comes down to price and availability. The important thing is that members do something about the OM CCT's before any pricey disasters happen.

And for those that want to save a few quid and/or want things to work as Honda intended there is the option of the Stopper mod.

CCT (Cam Chain Tensioner) Fail Safe Mod. (aka Stopper Mod)

Hi
I've probably read every post regarding ccts, dazed and confused comes to mind.
There are pros and cons to each solution, so which is best?
Any way...I've decided to buy the bike, so a battery and ccts to purchace.
Now the fun starts.
