Wanted knackered or ok Hornet radiator

Post by tony.mon »

I have a spare bike for the winter commute, a cb650F, not a Hornet but similar. The rads gone, and a replacement will cost £400.
So I'm thinking that I can put a Hornet one on instead- it'll just be brackets and possibly plumbing, but before buying a new one I want to make sure that there's nothing important in the way, such as exhaust pipes....

So I am looking for a knackered one to test fit- anyone got an old one, that leaks or is a little bent?
Other than that, has anyone got a working one?

Cash waiting.....

Hi Tony.
got an old one but leaking and corroded.
got a replacement from Wemoto for around £175 posted. only trouble I had was the hornet expansion outlet goes along the top of the rad, the one they supplied is out at approx 45 degrees back for the standard hornet. the one we worked on has nose fairing and bracket/fairing is in the way. bit cheaper trade.
