Life of a VTR

In reading the forums I see the life of a VTR at 60k please tell me this is not so I bought mine used at 17k and have done 3k in a mos at this rate I will have to sell this year.

I think it would do hundreds and hundreds of k's. Just reshell the crank abd big ends and put some new rings in and maybe a slight hone. It'll be fine just don't rev it too high all the time, use the torque. He says, always rev mine to 9,600 most of the time, that's where me rev limiter is.
