After fitting amcq' sold belly pan and liking the black with gold wheels I removed it to start the refurb as it was looking a bit rough and with a hole in it .
I started off by removing the decals that had been lacquered over then removed the lacquer tho it was easier than I thought it would be as it hadn't been prepped right and the lacquer just flacked off :-) .
I gave it a clean and a rough up with a scotch bright pad .
I then patched the hole with some glass fiber .
I used some parcel tape to stop the resin bleeding through .

Going well so far me thinks

I can't be arsed to fit it now...
The bike's running well as it is, but when I fit this it will undoubtedly Fup the fuelling, and I really don't fancy another round of re-jetting just yet.
Next weekend will be my birthday weekend and I'm going to Brands for the weekend after fitting a chain for a forum member Sat AM so it ain't happening then.
Perhaps weekend after.

But then, coming soon to a fantasy near you.....

Looking good!
What's that bulky thing you got on your handlebars mate?
Out of curiosity, what's it do? Looks like a 1940's ammo mag from a gangster movie :)

Pepper grinder would be a better option...

even though I like it course.
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

I did my packing for it too as Lloyd reminded me about it. Checked my tent and all is good. Luggage sits beautifully on this bike. Nice and clean all round. Image

The middle bag has nothing in it yet but will consist of some form of breakdown kit and maybe a pair of trainers

So are neither Lloydie or CK planning to ride at all for the next two weeks ?

What's wrong with loading the bike the night before the off...

I bet you both pull it all off at least twice before then checking for something that you cant remember if you packed or not...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
