Just a hello

Post by Vtrf3v3r »

Hi guys. I haven't been on here in about 8 months. I had to get rid of my storm when I left Germany and couldn't bear to replace her with a new one. So I got this instead. Just wanted to drop you a line. Glad to be riding again.

2014 Yamaha Raider SCL. Limited production. I got number 185/500. It rides great and has tones of torque. Its been a fun bike so far.... but its nothing like my storm. :(

Maybe a harley should be the shadow of my bike. Haha. Considering the engine is larger and has more torque. Plus the services are less than half the cost. And everyone here has a harley. Only 499 other people have the same bike as me.

That's a rad looking bike tbh.. And I rarely fancy any non-sports bikes at all.. But this one was not "over done" and they've kept it simple. Well done!

And if they havent then that makes my crowd that much more exclusive. I get nods and nice bikes wherever I go. SO I am guessing that the other ones are going to sell at some point. There were only 17 left in the Yami warehouse when I got mine two wees ago.

Thanks, that's kind of what I thought. Plus I liked the engine size. I would put the quickness of this cruiser up against my storm. Which is impressive for a cruiser over 700 lbs. It runs 0-60 MPH in 3.7. and the 1/4 mile is under 12. Top speed is right around 135.

Not for me, but I can see the attraction if I wanted a cruiser. Going by your figures it goes well

It does. I havent broken it open completely though with only 300 miles on the clock I'm going to break her in easy. Throwing a power commander with auto tune on it. Should bring my mpg up from 32 a little bit. Will lose some on the pipes when I have them installed but I'm also throwing a big air kit on it also. The rad thing is they make a big bore kit that takes the engine up to 120 cubic inches (1966cc). Don,t know whether that is necessary right now. Not that excited to scrape my frame up on the twisties.
