Wow thats looking great Marty.agentpineapple wrote:another busy day, cleaned some more of the blue bike, then put the fairings back on and cleaned the chain, I also fitted one of these....

I wasn't massively impressed with the quality, a bit flimsy, I thought it would be a td more rigid, like the fibrelyte ones i'd bought in the past.
then onto the pineapple express, full on clean with comma degreaser and surfex hd from bilt hamber, I then fitted some ti loveliness, once again cleaned the chain and sprocket, i'd forgotten the chain was gold....![]()
gave it a good polish, sprayed lots of nice ACF50 to keep it nice and shiny.
that's enough for now.

Had the quills fitted right this time after they fecked them up last week .
They look and fit great now they sorted them sound good too .
While I had the mori fitted I cleaned up these headers and it didn't take long as I keep on top of them .
Also polished up the clutch carbon cover as it was looking dull .
So glad these quill are finally on kermit after selling them and buying them back then nearly selling them again .
Wheels will be painted on the next tyre change (white )

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Got my new chain tensioners today, looking sweet as sunshine i must say!
![Image](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-huq5Z5TOGjU/U62dVsP-pTI/AAAAAAAAOHk/U5B0T2nQPTA/w800-h808-no/20140627_183423_Richtone%2528HDR%2529.jpg)
And everything was going great, rear valve cover was on and everything went smooth.
The front was going fine until the last bloody valve cover bolt was going in, 3 out of 4 was firmly in place, last was going in aaaaand..
![Image](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-IJITAKS0jkQ/U62xU6x2OQI/AAAAAAAAOK4/RfgbwDYYCxE/w501-h891-no/20140627_200032_Richtone%2528HDR%2529.jpg)
Snap..
Didn't even put any pressure on it yet and no resistance whatsoever from the threads..
Ordered a couple of new ones but that will take about 4 days to arrive.. so in the mean time I guess i'll be fiddling with the new rear lights and the automatic turn-signal relay i'm building for myself based on a tilt sensor ^^
Btw anyone know the exact torque you're supposed to tighten the valve bolts with?

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
more cleaning, and I swapped the right front fairing because of some minor damage. for cleaning I used farecla paint renovator, resin superwax and finished with finis wax from bilt hamber.
for the engine and real dirty parts, I used comma degreaser(spray can), surfex hd again from bilt hamber, then blasted the hell out of it with a pressure washer.....
I finished it with a mix of acf50,gt85 and wd40.

I still need to re-align the end cans as they're a tad wonky donkey!!!!!!!!!
still you have to love the pipework.....![erection :erection:](./images/smilies/erection.gif)

cheers lads
that's a scottoiler pipe, and it will be removed very soon as I don't want it.....
I've still got plenty to do to the blue bike, but its coming along ok, I will be riding the yellow bike this weekend weather permitting.

Mmm those cans! Very nice AP.
Today, the storm has it's first mot under my ownership!
Last night I fitted: a huge numberplate, rear reflector, white sidelight bulb, new rear pads, new tank pad, wheel rim tape, baffles, rear brake light banjo & wired it up, cleaned & lubed chain.
Fingers crossed...
