unmarked bikes...

Post by gabi81 »

so last weekend went out to see a mate in matlock and after decided to go for a ride around matlock and areas i was doing 55 on a 50 then a white fireblade pulled up my butt and started flashing me ....so i moved out way to let him pass...but he wouldnt so i opened mine up and went for it
after a bit he overtook me and its then ive seen "police" on the side of the bike and his highviss vest
when questioned why was i speeding ...my answer: thought you were taking the piss at me (bare in mind no blue lights) so got off with a warning...
and weekend after at market rasen same copper different bike...bmw gs in silver but this one is fully kitted with cameras and lights ...
after a short chat he said that if he would have been on the bmw i would have caught a fine and some points as he had evidence
but i also replied ...ye but you have blue lights too so i would have stopped
so bare in mind that the police is coming out in unmarked bikes ....and they just stick up your back end to see you speed or smth else...
bikes i know of are 1: white fireblade..2: silver bmw gs ..and a burgundy honda blackbird
Aha you know what it is black and yellow...black and yellow !!!

That sounds like good practice esp with all these undercover gizmos watching us.

I've often wondered, if an unmarked policechap came past me and I decided to tag along (without realising it's a copper), if I cruised along behind would I be likely to get nicked? Or do they predominantly like to catch you from behind?

Well if he was breaking the speed limit that he should get points as well!! Police are not exempt from the highway code unless on blues!!

That is very true but who's going to argue with them over it. It's PLOD they are law to themselves unless you can prove otherwise. And even then they will gang up and get their stories right. Bunch of plebs.
