accidentally sprayed wombles degreser all over the bottom of it, meant to pick up a can of bike protector but they all look so wombles similar the muc off range, i didnt want the can from the front so go the one from behind and guess what the wrong can was behind doh!

also got my tire taken off and plugged from the inside as the b8stard picked up a nail when i had to park around the dirty side of work

weird as the night before i was talking to a work mate saying that ive not had a puncture in years, then sods law that happened, mad how these things work out

Rear linkage removed & a spare well serviced & greased ready to go straight on. Thank's all it was really easy especially supporting the rear tyre, nothing was seized and it all came apart with minimum fuss.

Not that it makes much difference but the shock should be 180 degrees around so the rebound screw is on the right hand side of bike. As it's on the left in your first pic, it looks like the shock has been removed before.

Glad it all went OK with no issues. Looks lovely and clean now.

I changed nothing as was. I presume it saves you getting greased by the chain when adjusting it. :plainsmile

Not sure really but yeh that sounds feasible. It is easier access from the other side, but like I said it don't make much difference. I'm just picking

Took mine over to MHP exhausts in Colchester to have a section added to the LH link pipe- it's spitting and banging on the overrun and I can't get on with setting carbs up until the zorst is properly sealed up.
Mark Hills is a knowledgeable bloke, I'll see if he can do a full system for me in due course.

New section added, new clamp fitted.
We had to agree to disagree about clamp bolts, he reckons that it's necessary to fit high tensile ones, I prefer stainless but you can't tighten them as much as high tensile, however high tensile will eventually corrode, and given the location, and heat, fairly quickly.

So I buy a high tensile one from him, clamp it up nice and tight to the new section, all tight, lovely.
Ride home- still popping and banging.

Pull it apart, rear downpipe clamp (mikalor, W4, stainless including the bolt) is stripped.
Humble pie eaten, (not telling him though¬!)

MOT on Monday, so ideally I'll have sorted the leaky connections by then.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Mark hills at mhp is a nice guy I've spoken to him a few times re guarding exhausts and he come highly recommended .
Tho he did say it would cost me £400 for two titanium link pipes to be made to fit the akrapovic cans to my mori headers !!!

I've done that a few times with exhaust clamps. They are absolute fookers because there is only a small range of clamping adjustment that one size is designed for. It's imperative (I think that's the word) to have the right size clamp. I also always put a ring of silicone between the pipes as well whether there are gaskets on there or not.

Is that a mount that bolts through the headstock? I use a RAM ball mount, perfectly positioned for me...

Doubt it will - mine is rock solid. I put the phone in an UltimateAddons waterproof case. Works great.
