Re: Graphics cards
I have about 15 x AMD 280x, 10 x AMD 290 and 2 x AMD 290x, oh and 4 x AMD 6970. They're all good :-) but probably overkill for what you want.
If you just want one for basic stuff, then get something like this:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-xfx- ... dmi-dvi-lp
It will do all the basic Windows stuff and it's got HDMI out.
Just make sure the PC you're putting it into has PCI Express. If not and it's a really old PC you might need an AGP or PCI GPU. That will mean buying second hand from Ebay but I doubt they will have HDMI on old cards like that.

Also if you go for the Gforce Nvidia range check you power supply will be able to handle it. They tend to use much more wattage than some of the other brands. If you do get a Gforce then I would get a min 600-800 watt Corsair PSU. Passed experience PC builders will put in the cheapest PSU that will just run all the systems add a larger graphics unit & you will blow both the card & PSU. Do it & got the tee-shirt.
