You had the bikers guardian watching over you , that's for sure.
You'll soon be 100% I hope.

Re: No more biking for me
If you want to cover petrol, ferries, tolls and a flight home I'll deliver one!
That would be a good two-week holiday, that would.
Good to hear you're on your way back to biking.![Clapping ](./images/smilies/icon_clap.gif)

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Time to ride again...which bike No more biking for me
2 years later and I need to ride again.
VTR100's are scarce in SA...whats the next best twin?
SV1000, with slighty higher bars should make a decent twin ....no ?
Your thoughts,
Gerrit

Mille or a KTM RC8 might be more fun, though......

Cost is the issue, KTM is sick pricey in SA.
I need to buy 2nd hand, and there are some decent looking SV's available

Re: No more biking for me
I've ridden the SV1000 naked, loved it! Plenty of punch and adequate handling for a fun blast, although there's room for improvement with the suspension and brakes if you demand a bit more precision/composure.
Look out for corrosion though.

The SV is a good bike, find a clean ne and modify it to suit

Re: No more biking for me
What a story, good to see you are thinking bike again.
If you must go to the far side an SV1000 is a good choice.
I have a mate with one and it's nice to ride however it's not as edgey as the Storm.
Are you sure you can't find a Storm?
You deserve a beer
to get through all that!

Welcome back Gerrit, good to hear from you again
Regarding the Suzuki SV1000 there are two different models I believe. One has the more retro look with higher bars and no fairing, the other has clip-on handlebars and bikini fairing IIRC,
Chris.
