have you also noticed, and it applies to the whole age group of cyclists.when getting to a t junction they just treat it as a left hand corner ,not even glancing to the right

The same applies to London's pedestrians*, bikers and drivers - It becomes a mad dash to keep up, get ahead, and to the front. Whenever I've been up to London you get sucked into riding like a demented despatch rider unless you can consciously override the surrounding influences. But London riding, as it is even for pedestrians , is like falling into white water river to go with the flow which is at a faster pace than compared to riding outside the city.

For cyclists (I'm one also) it's especially all about maintaining momentum and you don't like slowing down and with nimbleness it's easy to cut through jams. Put that into a city and it becomes Death Race 2000 like fight for your perceived right of way and road space versus cars, trucks, traffic lights etc.

They arent just a problem in London round my way they can be a royal pain in the A$$, what I dont like is that they have no insurance, so if they do cause an accident you have virtually no way of go after them if they damage your vehicle, same as pedestrians.

I have said before, I am a bus driver in Bristol, they are mentallists! should be banned unless they get a license. My two worse on es for a bus are when they come from a side road and just carry on out into the road, in front of me making me do an emergency stop, or when they are on the pavement and just swerve straight across the front of the bus because they have decided to join the road. People say its a small minority, baldrocks! If 10 cyclists are at a red light, 8 minimum will go straight through, I see it every day
Budget storm gradually on the road to spangliness.

I haven't been on here for a while but I've been a cyclist longer than I've been a motorcyclist.
There's good and bad in all walks of life so don't knock all cyclists.
Too much negativity towards them on here for my liking, and before anyone tells me I don't know what I'm on about I drive a car as well as a motorcycle and class 2 lgv in my job.
What amazes me is the way people slow down for horses, do about 2 mph and then give them a wide berth. Then when they see a cyclist they speed up and miss them by about an inch, pathetic.
