ging500 wrote:Really want to get this issue however what is going on with Ride. The current magazine is Decembers but its still November !! So are they releasing Januarys in the beginning of December!! If im being a womble, please someone correct me. ALL magazines do it, they always have, it's the way they work. ALL womens mags I subscribe to like Zest etc all do the same. They work 1 month ahead.

I though the months article was released in the last few days of previous month/beginning of the new month.

I suppose they can't upset the dealers that advertise in Ride, but £3000? I'd not pay more than a grand, really, maybe £1500 for a tidy low mileage one.

Ah well, at least I've had my bike in the mag. Misspelled my name though!

Next I want my engine in PB......
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Well that was a complete waste of £4.10, trees & nearly 10 mins of my life.

Read like a copy & paste job from wiki complete with glaring mistake about Storm engine being a detuned SP unit.

Disappointed after the first para I carried on regardless, what did I learn, nothing apart from not buying Ride magazine again. Thought the rest of it was shite as well. I have donated it to a less fortunate member, down & out destitute with a bike in bits & no job, he at least will have a supply of bog paper now.

Also this Anthony Mongaham bloke sounds like he knows what he's on about, is he on the forum I wonder.

Ride magazine I Fecking wont waste my cash on you...Again.

Carry on Rant over.

Can someone get Mr Mongaham to get in touch please if you know him I need an SP engine put in my Storm.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Cheers for saving me 4 quid mac

The only bike mag I ever buy is fast bikes as TWO, RiDE and performance bikes are usually full of absolute shite with journalistic merits a kin to someone with severe dyslexia

I read a bloke at works copies ofpractical sportsbike/classic motorcycle mechanics whenever he brings them in and theyre not too bad

  But what do you expect?? As we are the Church of Storming Types I'd be surprised if we were to learn anything. I just thought it good that we got some limelight (whether this is a good thing is another debate!) and worth it to see the elevation of Mongaham to guru from the Reverend Mongoman. Nice readers lives pics too, including the spray tans :)

Same here!

My only complaint about the article was the constant reminder of the pitiful, woeful tank range on the 16 litre tanks... :whatever
Maybe I'm just used to that..

For me it was the constant harping on about the CCT probs. OK it was mentioned by our members but surely saying sort this and the reg/rec and they go on for ever would have done?

As ever if you really know about a subject there is little to learn from a main stream article.
