VAC Bag

Post by T8ull »

Has anyone got one?

I bought one, but not used it yet.

We are talking about the bike sealing bag, not a vacuum cleaner bag for any clever clogs out there. :D

Look forward to any feedback/experiences,

Tim

Like this but for a bike...http://www.carcoon.com/carcoon-bikebubble this is the circulating air type much more expensive...

This is the Vac bag ... http://www.vac-bag.co.uk/index.php?_a=category&cat_id=1

View it online. It's a winter storage solution.....basically bag it up, suck the air out with a Hoover nozzle and seal.

I get it now  bag the bike up for winter storage. I'm a full time biker I ride my bike all year around how else would I get from A to B, I'm not walking.
Good idea for collectors though! that don't want to show off their bike but keep them in mint condition and away from contaminated air, dust particles etc. But then again if one can afford that sort of bike/collection then they could afford a climate controlled garage.

The ones I've seen for cars are where you blow the bag up with clean air. They then have regulators that continually refresh the air quality as well as humidity. As Carl said if you had a bug collection you would have an uber garage and possibly a guy polishing them (certain someone comes to mind jay Leno).

I saw these vac bags more for someone who has one or two cars and can't afford big garage but wants to look after there precious car.

I married one, but she stopped vacuuming after the ceremony. Used to do her own car wheel bearings and oil changes, too.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thank you tattoo, that's what I wanted to hear, can't afford the heated garage like the rich guys, just got the £1699 Storm and a new model 56 plate Tiger. £4999.
Will get a bag for both as I tend to take 3 months off from the salty roads, November to mid February.Bag was around £50.will get the misses to suck the air out as she can suck a golf ball through a hosepipe ( in my dreams),
