well the engines in

Post by warby221 »

Well got pi**ed off been of for a week and it’s pi**ed it down :( :(

Up side I got pi**ed of with the weather and did my engine swap :D :D

Got a nice new engine to run in now went for a shakedown run tonight just had a bit of a leak from one of the hoses of cause sod’s law it had to be one of the buggers under the carb’s so off came the fairing tank and carb’s again to get to it

The motor dose sound sweet though :D

Just have to put the fairing back on now and its ready to go again
I’ll fire some pic’s on when I get chance
When you change the engine you just about have to strip the bike down all that’s left is the frame, rear sub-frame, front forks and wheel “it did look in a sorry state

That's good too hear Warby, even better for you I'd imagine after all the effort you've put in, a good feel factor to have it running again :!:

I bet you could smell that paint curing once the engine warmed up

You were lucky the weather stayed bad, as I'm sure if it had been me once the bike was well and truly stripped the sun would come out

Yep it was
And he was I thinking I had the stealfiest storm about as no one ever spotted me on it
Got to the old moat house spotted the leak and headed back
Not far for a first run, got 30miles in between showers today though
Engine pulls like a train just a bit of a flat spot at about 3K probably because of the porting work so a bit of rejetting needed at the lower end. Will be having it up to Rogers for a dyno run after its run in so get it all sorted then

Just a couple of pic’s must have had a shaky hand on the camera

Every thing striped off and engine about to come out
Note engine is sat on the floor then the engine bolts are released. The frame is wheeled or wheelbarrow style” not a lot of the bike left”

new engine in with swing-arm and chain on still needing engine cases putting on
note home made abba stand hum £80 I think not

I am worried Warby. What are you going to do next? You will have to buy a project bike or else you will be bored stupid. Nice work by the way.
