still trying to find out more........looked like there was a private party [papers say a festival?] out on the edge of town and he got glassed by a gatecrasher.........but no info that he died, news says he is not critical.

looks like I need a new camera or to clean the lense on that one, as Ziggys photos from his Samsung phone are far higher definition than the ones from my Nikon camera :(

I think they're 13 mega pixel from the phone. They are really good in the light, but not very good at all as things get a little darker. Also no optical zoom so it really suffers with taking good long range photos.

Al, Sunday ride did 170 miles. Went on coast road to Wigtown crossed over to Port William then another coast road got to Drumure couldn't get to Mull of galloway (raining heavy) so went to Port Logan. Back to Sandhead for food. Up to Stranraer for petrol then up to Ballantrae in the rain again. Crossed to Pinwherry then did the road to Newton Stewart again, then a75 back to Kirkcudbright. Some great roads and sights. Petrol & food stops few and far between. Traffic very sparse, I thought roads were quiet near me but in Scotland it's so much quieter. Will post pictures tomorrow

Hello Stormers
Was great to meet you guys and your bikes, which Im embarrassed to say even after your journeys were in cleaner nick than mine ! She got a big time consuming clean up when I got back !! Was saying to Matt we should have arranged to get you up in Glasgow so we could noise up the Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow before a run around the twisties up that way, the road from Largs over the Haylie Brae to Kilbirnie is a belter, another time ..
Glad you all made it home safe, been a lot of biker fatalities around south Ayrshire the last six months, quite surprised the police haven't launched some kind of campaign .. but some of the roads around the SW are fabulous on a good dry day, others are treacherous ! and the views are superb, glad you came to visit, haste ye back !
