Kev, as I said to you in our phone conversion, I thought routing the table was the best option rather than a plaque too.

I think you've done well with the price for solid oak, I realise the routing will be a extra.

That sounds very good to me, well done

Just noticed on Honda Vtr forum , the idea of the memorial bench at the campsite.Wonderful gesture, it's comforting to know that Martin was so highly thought of. (Martin's Dad.)

Hi everyone, here’s the update
I’ve spoken to the guy today who is sorting Martins picnic bench out.
I have now placed the order with him. As previously mentioned I’ve arranged to have a 6 seater, made out of oak with Martin’s logo plus dates, as per sticker carved into the table top and to be cash on delivery, Friday morning of the Rhayader Firestorm meet so it will be there when we arrive
Unfortunately there was a slight error on my part  I didn’t notice that the dreaded VAT was to go onto the cost of the £350 (sorry guys & girls )

Anyway here is a breakdown of the costs etc
Oak picnic bench £350
Logo carved in £50
VAT £80
Delivery £60 :(
Total £540

36 members have shown an interest, me, cheekads and cheekysue will donate £60 to cover the delivery charges, so if you do your sums £480 divided by 36 you’ll find in rounded up figures this works out £13.50 each, I will send each participating member a PM with my email address, my home address and just in case anyone has a problem my phone nbr, when you receive the PM can you then please pay by Paypal or cheque, cheques made payable to Kevin Williamson, also put a note with the payment, i.e. your forum name ( not your real name ) so I know who it’s come from, and if you can, a contact phone nbr, or even better send me a reply PM to confirm.
I fully understand and appreciate that most, if not all of you have already generously donated to Martins family  so if anyone feels they can’t afford £13.50 then please don’t feel like you’re being pushed, just donate what you can and we will find a way to top up the shortfall if there is one.

Finally, on behalf of Martin, his family and of course myself, I would like to thank you all for your support and generosity in making this tribute happen for such a loyal VTR forum member who gave all and expected nothing in return.
