Man down

Post by tony.mon »

Mac V2 dropped over today to watch me hit my bike with ever bigger and bigger hammers, and had an off on his way home.

He's in Darent Valley hosp overnight, with an op tomorrow (monday).
He ran into the back of a car.

He's got a badly fractured right forearm, and damaged his left elbow, which will need plating or screwing together, hole in his shin, not too bad from the sound of it. Chipped hip as well.
As he said on the phone earlier,
humerus?
Don't bloody think so......

Made a mess of his bike, though, it's a streetfighter for now, no clocks, fairing etc, bashed L rad, brake m/c and clutch m/c.
Most of the fairing is in a bin bag.

Worst bit is that the fairing stay has snapped off the alloy section at the front of the frame.....
Ah, well, I have a spare frame with a log book, might be able to just swap them over.

Don't think he'll be on the Monopoly run, though.

I recovered the bike in my new van, earning it's keep nicely.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
