PR3s
Re: PR3s
Quite a few of us run them on the Storm. I got my first set just over a month ago and so far so good. I'm impressed.

I have 3 on the rear since last spring and still a 2 on the front, but it will get a 3 when it's time to change.
I loved the 2s and can't realy say the 3s are any better, but they look good

Doesn't having 3 tires on the back adversely affect the handling ?AMCQ46 wrote:I have 3 on the rear since last spring and still a 2 on the front, but it will get a 3 when it's time to change.

Re: PR3s
I am pretty much set on having Pilot Road 3's fitted in the next few weeks.
Feel confident in them? Everything I read suggests they are generally great.

Re: PR3s
hi just looked at the picture of your bike and saw the crash bung protectors they look like the ones i was going to get from america.in your opinion are they good and do you whack your legs against themSPIV wrote:
Re: PR3s
I think they could be leg bashers. I like the crash bungs that mount slightly further forward than them on the Vertical bar on the frame. I think that is where the Mori bikes have them as well. The only problem is they are hard to find and when you do find them they are bloody expensive.

Re: PR3s
I loved the 2's as well, although on a different bike. If the price is very close, I'll get the 3's next, otherwise get more 2's, theyre plenty good enough for me.AMCQ46 wrote:I have 3 on the rear since last spring and still a 2 on the front, but it will get a 3 when it's time to change.

Re: PR3s
I think the 2's and 3's have the exact same compounds. The only difference is the Sips or whatever they are called in the tread.

Not sure if they do?
Does that not mean / show that its a different compound to the old tire?MICHELIN Pilot Road 3
The segment’s new benchmark surpasses its predecessor, the MICHELIN Pilot Road 2
An unrivalled grip in the wet1 thanks to the revolutionary new MICHELIN Sipe Technology (XST)3
An unbeatable tire life2 thanks to MICHELIN’s latest-generation 2CT dual-compound technology
All of this plus even wear and life-long performance thanks to full-depth MICHELIN XST3 sipes
1 Internal test carried out at the Fontanges Test Center (France) in March 2010.
2 Durability comparison test between the MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 and the MICHELIN Pilot Road 2 (120/70 ZR 17 and 180/55 ZR 17) carried out at the DEKRA Test Center in 2010
3 X SipeTechnology
I'm confused i read it as this new compound is better in out tests than the last dual compound used in the pilot road 2
