Clip ons help

Post by thumperslaw »

Right I want to get shot of my clip ons for some nicer looking ones
Now I've seen loads but am worried about they might feel to low.
I want to keep the storm riding position if I can

Looking at them
What you think?

They are pricey. I managed a good deal from Calsport but then I was trying to raise the bars as well.

The second set look the business. They do look a little lower than stand standard but then you could compensate by angling them back a little more.

Why not keep the Storm ones then. Don't forget the weights as well. I expect you can just slide the Storm ones inside the bar if they are the same diameter.

I got some later model Storm ones with the extra 5 degrree lift. Compared to the originals, I would say they are about 1/2 inch higher by the time you get to the ends, which surprisingly does make quite a big difference. If I had the money and could afford aftermarket, then it would be Apex for me.

Or you could go to these. It will give you infinite adjust ability from full on racy to 4 " raised easy riding position.

Fitted them today and they seem very well made. Couple of marks on the clamps am not happy about but that's life. As for the bars well they sit higher then the storm ones but angle wise they are lower.
Keep thing I should of went for the other ones
But I'll try them first and see how I get on in the next couple of days
