ZXR 750 forks

Post by Spacehead »

I'm looking to fit aa pair of ZXR Forks into the storm, not worried about time and engineering ability but I have the whole front end from. ZXR and wondering if anyone else has done the same? It a purely aesthetics project.

Thanks in advance

Do you have the clamps already?

How wide are the at the clamps?

Fitting a USD front end dramatically reduced steering lock to lock on the storm

If you have the clamps already you could remove the stem from a firestorm clamp and graft it in the ZXR's possibly and get bearings to suit

If you don't have clamps they may fit in the 954 / 929 Clamps can't give width and measurements of clamp whole diameter and distance between the legs at moment as I'm doing DIY at the other half's

You might need to get a new stem made to fit the frame and relocate the ignition lock .
Measure the length of the zx forks and compare them to the VTRs .
I know the zx7r have adjustable ride hight is stead of preload don't know if the zxr is the same
You also want to change the hight of the clipons as they will be way lower than the vtr as they fit under the top yoke .
Renthals might be an option with this .
