Spare ignition keys

Post by berko_lad »

When I purchased my Storm it only came with one HISS key. Can anyone advise as to where and how I source a spare?

I know it's only a matter of time before I lose/break the one I have!

I've only got one as well. But mine is pre-HISS.

Where's the best place for a blank? Should have got one years ago, especially after shutting it under the seat when away from home. Scraped my hand to bits trying to force it under the seat to retrieve it - but I did, no choice really :eek2

OK, I know this is stupid, but if my bike is a 1999 (T reg) it doesn't have HISS fitted does it.

And so this key is simply a 'normal' key which can be cut from any blank yes?

If your bike is pre-facelift (16l tank, silver bars & top yoke) it won't have the HISS fitted as standard.
