After about 7 years of thinking "I must get round to that......."

I finally changed the R/R for a large finned one.

Original was still working perfectly after 10 years/23K miles.

Started replacing corroded/rusty pins with some nice shiny new Stainless steel ones. Only found one I can't get out so far - I persevered for2 minutes then gave up

Yeah thanks. I'm pleased with it. Pan needs a repair and respray as does the seat cowl so it'll go and have a blow over shortly.

Landy is a series 2 lwt (rare as rocking horse shite). Got a 2.5d from a defender ATM but I just killed it so I've got a nice new 200tdi from a discovery to go in. Turbo!!!!! Tanks under seats yeah get some funny looks at the petrol station!

Cheers

Lloydie, nice airbox

and can you and Kev go get a room....................or a dungeon

oh, what did I do with my bike? well this weekend I used my storm and everything else in the garage to hang wet camping gear off so it would dry out.

Did my 2 day trail on Exmoor, and boy did it rain!!!!!! Some of the river sections were more suitable for white water rafting!

Have you been over inflating that tyre as well. Looks to have a lot more wear in the centre or are you either not leaning into the bends enough or as you say too many burnouts.

New tyre looks nice, what type did you go for? I got to replace mine soon rear and front. front is borderline illegal and the rear has a nail buried in it with slow puncture. Just got to let the rear wear a bit more and by then then I should have enough money for a new set. Looking forward to it actually (not the expense) but having a matching set of tyres with plenty of tread. Should change the feel and steering of the bike completely for the better.

Too many burnouts!!!

And too much commuting.

I've gone for a Maxxix Touring rear. I've had Maxxis before and on my old CBR6 and found them really good.

And they are so much cheaper than the usual Dunlop/Bridgestone/Michelin etc

£90 incl delivery.

Went for a good ride to bassetts pole tonight .
I synced the carbs yesterday must of done it wrong as their is a hesitation on the throttle when I open it up .
So I will do it again tomorrow .
I think I have different diameter vac pipes fitted so I will change them to the same before the sync .
