Non VTR: lawn mower advice

Post by gilson »

Hello!

I'm lucky enough to have a large garden and a super ride on lawn mower, yep, it's a V-twin. However I need a petrol mower to do the edging and also be thrown into the hedges, probably at a significant angle (note storm's engine when wheeling, not that I can do that).

I've been looking at some options.

I need it to be self propelled and petrol engines.

It need to be powerful enough to be thrown in to nettles and other detritus.

It doesn't need to collect grass.

Obviously, with an Accord and two VTRs, I'd like a Honda. But that'll be at least 379gbp!!! I know they are quality, don't we all, but the decks can rust as they are steel.

Basically I want the 'storm of the mower world. Reliable, dependable, excellent quality, unexpectedly brilliant and user friendly.

Plenty of brands available but need some honest advice.

Lamborghini make ride-ons, and that key fob dropped on the bar will guarantee you a companion for the slow ride home from the bar-a-g-go in the town centre on a Saturday night.
Best get the two-seater drop-top with side exit mulching, and stripe roller, to really impress the ladeez.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hey Tony, funny enough my father has a Lamborghini twin tracked small tractor in Italy. It's a scary beast. A triple diesel engine with enough traction to pull down a house. Unfortunately the key is a cut down coin and it hasn't pulled anything apart from a trailer.
