speeddo and trip not working

i went to the farmyard rally and it rained all the time and on sunday when i start home i noticed the speedo and trip meter werent working but the trip is still on but not showing how many miles done does anybody have any idea whats wrong

Probably a corroded connection on the reverse of the speedo, just undo the three mounting bolts and check/clean/reconnect all you can see.

But there is also a very slim chance that the reg/rec is outputting an incorrect voltage, so stick a meter on the battery terminals- shouldn't be over 14.5 volts.
