Ducati 750ss First time project
Update June 2012
Taking longer than expected
1. Made a new seat unit, this one smaller so it sits on top of the frame
2. Sorted rear light
3. Cut up original seat unit ready for recovering
4. Got a set of Monster clocks and made a temporary bracket until I can get one made
5. Drilled out the chain tension bolt from the swing arm
6. Made a headlight bracket
7. Sat and looked at it
Here are some pictures
Definitely needs different wheels! Especially the front

Re: Ducati 750ss First time project
coming along nicely tho mate, Mmmm no what your saying about the wheels, recon all cafe racers should have a nice set of chrome spoke wheels
4 wheels move the body, 2 wheels move the soul...........
Re: Ducati 750ss First time project
Yep, I keep seeing the Super moto wheels for sale but not sure how to go about seeing if they fit
Re: Ducati 750ss First time project
It's looking good, front will look better with big discs fitted....very impressed

Re: Ducati 750ss First time project
Have a word with Central Wheels, they will steer you toward what's available and sizes etc. They're not cheap though. Did you see the Yamahe XT restoration on the Motorbike show on ITV4? Central did the wheels for that.

Re: Ducati 750ss First time project
Didn't see it Kev, and thanks for the tip
They really are too expensive
I can get a set of supermoto wheels for £200
I just need to sort out the spindle size etc and make sure I can get any bits made
Regards

Re: Ducati 750ss First time project
I spoke about the idea of putting indicators in the ends of the frame
Had a look and found these
What do you think?
Here's a reminder of the bike and frame
