Newbee

Post by chelskitel »

Hello all,
was pointed in this direction by bigspanishmarty after buying something on Fleabay from Him.
I live in South London and am fairly new to biking despite being an old g*t.
My firm moved from west to east london four years ago and the trip to work was a nightmare.
I decided to do a CBT and buy a cheap 125 for commuting.
I soon got the bug and did a direct access last year.
Bought a Suzi GS500 and was quite happy with that, getting to a couple of GS club meets as far away as Derdyshire and Scotland.
Clocked up 13000 miles in the past year and I thought all those motorway miles was a bit much for the old GS so decided to buy something bigger for touring.
Came accross the Firestorm by accident really,a few of us at work went down to Poole to see another mate who had been ill.
He asked if I wanted to try out His Firestorm when We went for a ride in the New Forest and it was love at forest ride, eventhough I am a short s**e the bike felt like it was made for Me.
He didn't really want to sell it but has several other bikes and has only done 3K miles in the 10 years He owned the bike so agreed to part with it.
Had it a month now and already clocked up 2K miles, mostly in the rain.
Cheers,Terry.

Hi and welcome to the Forum. Plenty of info on here and of course the famous workshop days where certain members give up their time to help others. As for picture posting,it's taken me yonk's to sort it out , more luck than good judgement with me :biggrin . Best of luck.
