Re: touring firestorm
The trouble is with the Firestorm is the piss poor tank range. Touring the UK or even Europe is a doddle with petrol stations every few miles but somewhere like America Land where you can fill up and not find another station for a couple of hundred miles, makes the Storm a terrible touring bike. Cant take clothing because you have to put the extra fuel tank somewhere.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Agreed. I've toured a couple of time in France on mine, and the bike was hated by any group i'd be riding in, as i'd have to pull over with a fuel light on whilst they still had 40-50 miles in their tanks ..pinkyfloyd wrote:The trouble is with the Firestorm is the piss poor tank range.
The only bike i've had with a worse tank range was my CCM R30 ... !

Re: touring firestorm
Went out with a few friends last year. "anyone need to fill up" the lead rider asked. The 2 storm riders, myself being one of them put our hands up.
Lead rider asked on the way out of the station to be informed when they need to start looking for the next petrol station. I said: "the moment we leave this petrol station us storm riders are looking for the next one"

So 48 litres of fuel hanging on the back thenbazza696 wrote:your mistaken, these are panniers converted to fuel tanks, he states a range of over 400 miles.
I think he should put wheelie bars on the back just to be safe!
