Good job Mike, the bike looks great. i always had the black/ yellow theme in mind when i was doing bits on her...hope there weren't to many dodgey bits for you to cope with in the strip down.

looks like its nearly ready for the summer if we have one this year.

It's a job that I'll be tackling soon.
I'll be using braided lines swaged onto the existing fittings, and ATM I'm planning to use an SP1 or 2 oil cooler- they're slightly bigger (more rows) which I'll need to keep the heat down with the engine mods I've done in summer temps.

It should be possible to keep it in the same place, but the other option is to add ram-air from the area where the oil cooler currently lives and move the cooler to the bellypan, with ducting to keep it fed.
That'll need a race style triangular oil cooler to fit into the lower front of the bellypan.
But that would then be directly behind the hot exhaust pipe....

you could cut the existing steel pipes and use compression fittings and copper pipes to make up the new ones.
you can get the pipe and a bending spring from b& q.
probably the fittings as well, or from any plumbing shop.

That's what I was thinking about, IMHO hydraulic hoses would be a better option. DelmeekC fitted a larger oil cooler (four row iirc) using those type of connections. The only thing I didn't like with that, it was fitted low down (similar to the Suzuki SV's) just right for catching all the stones etc from the front tyre. May be some descent protection could be used to safe guard it. Failing that may be Tony's idea of fitting one in the belly pan would be better.
