The worst forum by far....

Post by tonyf »

No, not this one!! :D I collected a cafe racer project yesterday - some pics to follow, so I registered on the UK cafe racer forum so that I can get some hints. The bike is more or less there but I need to get some advice on the seat unit.

So having duly registered, had a look around - no introductions to newbies who have posted, loads of posts with no hits or responses....

Not like this forum.... :D It's a good'un...

For custom stuff try Britchopper. Great forum for builders and there's all sorts of projects on the go there :)

If you join up, you'll find I am on there too :)

I know a couple of folk with cafe racer projects on the go who use this place, http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php. Some tasty builds going on in there.

Try this for the cafe racer:

Both yankee sites but stuffed full of info, whats the project?
Due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off!

let us know how you get on.... been considering turning my old cbx750f into a cafe racer - already got a lot of bits to go on.... fibreglass seat, flyscreen, renthal clip ons etc...
will be a shame to butcher it as its totally standard & mint condition but atm its just sat there gathering spiders

Yeah agreed Benny, wire wheels would be the business. Gonna get her together first and then maybe go on the hunt for some later this year. Im gonna get mine as close to the pics as possible. Im making my own seat too using good old fibreglass matting and body filler. Cheers dude.

That's absolutely stunning! I want a project soon can't decide between a nice Harley Bobber, cafe racer or just a nice original CBX.
This thread isn't helping!
