Undoing nut and siliconing it, then doing it back up- Shimples.

had the same problem and did the same. take the lock nut back half way cleaned the thread but i used some regular blue locktight( spellcheck lol ) 100 miles done not a drop i did put a ring spanner on the plunger to be sure it didn't move. No Biggie

wise man.
i had my front cct unwind itself on me twice, fortunately i caught it before it did any damage.
trying to retighten it with the engine running is not fun.
i think it was Blacknek wasn't so lucky with his

never rely on just the locknut... all that heat & vibration, it will come loose eventually.
thread locking compound is essential!
