Thanks guys - yep, mine fired up first time too. Now the exhausts aren't blowing, it really does have a brilliant note. Try to get my Speed Triple finished today... fuel problem....be perfect for the crap weather.

Speed Triple also finished!!! Yee-hah - started first time after fuel pump replacement and sounds 'gorty' with the can. Needs a bit of time fettling to make immaculate but at the end of the day its 8 years old and has 48k miles on it.

Thanks AMCQ - I've been through quite a few bikes over the last 3-4 years, renovation - sell-on, buy something else. I'm well happy with both of these.. shame that so far I have done 40 miles on the SP and 15 yards on the Triple....

There would only be another 2 bikes that I'd add to my collection now..

A 1973 Puch MS50V - first proper bike (not including a Puch Maxi)
A 1976 Suzuki A50P.

The AP's are stupid prices and I cant be ar$ed to do another renovation. Too much time required, too expensive with too many perfectionists in that world... [RANT ON] Oooh, Suzuki would not have used a stainless steel bolt to hold your brake lever on, it would have been zinced by Papa Smurf at midnight in a cave in the Himalayas under a full moon.. I'll give you a full moon... As Jim would say... MY AR$E [RANT OFF] :D

Hmm... I must have some un-resolved problem there some where :biggrin

Seen the SP2 in Performance Bikes?
Nicely done, I thought...
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
