Have used loctite 243 for threads as its oil tolerant, medium strength so backing it off when adjusting isnt too hard. Lotite 5205 recommended for aluminium mating surfaces as it stays flexiable. Benny used hydraulic sealant for threads, this is also a good option but be sure to give it the correct cure time, experienced some failures when not allowed to cure properly but a guaranteed oil tight seal when set, I found it harder to open threads compared to the 243.

Awesome infos guys.
But i´m returning from to the Loctite webpage and all i can found loocking good for threads in engines are 242 (Blue) and 271 (red).
Can´t see your numbers in there.
Are these 242 and 271 reliable?

the 242 will be best for you then...

LOCTITE® 242® is designed for the locking and sealing of
threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with
standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the
absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and
prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.

don't use the 271 as it's a permanent bond.

quoted from loctite datasheet, dont no why you cant find this number on loctite site, google it also.

"LOCTITE® 243™ is designed for the locking and sealing of
threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with
standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the
absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and
prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. The
thixotropic nature of LOCTITE® 243™ reduces the migration of
liquid product after application to the substrate. LOCTITE®
243â„¢ provides robust curing performance. It not only works
on active metals (e.g. brass, copper) but also on passive
substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces. The
product offers high temperature performance and oil tolerance.
It tolerates minor surface contaminations from various oils,
such as cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids."

We use this everyday where I work can be got hold of easy,

Well guys n gals have been very busy over the last month. Responce has been great and loads of interest, getting near my hols now, only 2 weeks to go :D . I will have 8 sets next week (waiting for stainless nuts) and they will be the last until after hols i,m afraid. I have one complete set available to post tomorrow so whoever pm's me first can hav them. After the 8 sets are gone I'm not sure if demand will be as high so dont no if I should get another batch together, might wait until winter is on us again (not that its any different now rain rain rain :sad2) to see if storms are going to be fitted with manual ccts over the dark months.
Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who bought a set from me

PISS wish i had seen this post before.

just got my self a set of APE's

Which are red and a might look like a 17yr old boy racer has had a dabble at some bike modding.

like the finish on yours, as a precaution tho i wouldn't use instant gasket and instead use a proper original Honda, they dont cost much and its better than worrying about a leak.

No leaks with instant gasket, pity honda didnt admit there was a problem with autos, the gasket is not the problem its the oem cct, a smear of instant gasket is recommended for manuals and is the best way of keeping everything dry.

I'm aware it's cct at fault not the gasket.
And I wouldn't expect them to turn round and admit it, would be a lot of owners demanding replacements and what not. I just would not trust anything other than a proper gasket, hence I used them when I last replaced mine.
