Post Storm gathering.
Ditto all of that!! Not enjoyed myself so much in years and years. Paul (CBR400RR) says he enjoyed it too. I'd certainly be interested in a trip abroad - so long as its in a Southerly direction! - and it avoids death-leap bridges.
Thanks everyone (particularly Simon).

Great to meet all you guys this weekend and put names to faces even though i've forgotten them all already, had a really good day out on some great unknown roads, and off them sometimes as well, i laughed so much when i saw the guy in front go airborne over the bridge then realised i was following.Brilliant, i was knackered when i got home so i dread to think what the guys from Scotland were like.
Had a little tussle with a silly car driver on the way home in a crossfire, thought he could beat me down the A6 silly man
Would love to go away next year and annoy some johnny foreigners.

Hi all, got back to the lakes last night at 8.00pm after a 1/2 hour stop at Devils bridge. had 2 encounters of the boys in blue kind en route, 37 in a 30 that I thought was a 40 in Harrogate, then when leaving Grasmere and heading up the crawler lane towards Keswick whilst fully on the gas I spotted a marked van sitting off the road in the bushes. He must have noticed me because the difference in noise from a fully on storm in second, to 3rd/4th/5th/6th in very quick sucession is very apparent.
Left the lakes this morning at 10 and got home here( to the land of the midnight sun!!!!) just before 5 with a 45 minute stop in Perth.
The words "The ground was going down but I was'nt" will stick with me for a long time.
All in all a most enjoyable weekend.
Thanks Simon and all who attended
Cheers

Well done Tattie(AKA Marathon Man from now on)
Glad you made it in one piece
I think the words which will stay in my head are the words said to a rather nervous young girl, in her wedding gown waiting to walk across the foyer to her groom just before their vows. I told her there was nothing to worry about, we had all done it and "he" was probably more nervous than her and then " MR Reassuring" pipes up
"Oh yes! I love weddings. I've done it twice"
You should ave seen the father of the Brides face

Don't worry Paul I won't mention any names
